About Vivian
Vivian is a Piano Teacher and Collaborative Pianist. She was born and raised in NJ and moved to MI in 1995. Vivian is delighted to work as the Operations Manager for the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck, MI, running educational programs throughout the year and managing 12 concerts each summer.Vivian is also the accompanist for the Lakeshore Community Chorus in Saugatuck since 2017 and for the past 14 years, has been the pianist for Fennville High School Choirs.As a Piano Teacher, She is passionate about sharing her love of music with students of all ages and has taught piano since 1990. She currently teaches piano in her home in Fennville, MI, and online.
Vivian began lessons at age seven and continued to major in Classical Piano Performance at Rutgers. Her childhood teacher, Molly Ginsburg, graduated from the Julliard Conservatory. While in college, her principal teachers were Theodore Lettvin, (who studied under Rudolph Serkin and Mieczyslaw Horszowski) and Paul Hoffmann (whose teachers included Leon Fleisher, and Dieter Weber). During her studies at Rutgers, she received a scholarship to participate in "The Moscow Conservatory in America." She feels so blessed to have had excellent teachers throughout her training. In 1992, she received a BM degree in Piano Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.
Vivian and her husband have six adult children and two grandchildren.
