Genevieve Beaulieu, bassoon
Genevieve Beaulieu teaches bassoon at Hope College and lives in Holland, Michigan. She holds positions with the Traverse and Midland Symphony Orchestras and regularly performs with the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, West Michigan, Lansing, and Holland symphonies. For the past 7 summers, Genevieve has spent two weeks in Branson, MO, where she performs with the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra and resident woodwind quintet.
An avid chamber musician, Genevieve is a member of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra Woodwind Quintet, outreach trio ‘ma non troppo,’ and the Hope College faculty woodwind quintet. She also gives regular performances in West Michigan and Missouri as a member of Duo Corcra, a bassoon and saxophone ensemble. The duo recently commissioned and premiered works at the North American Saxophone Alliance conference in Cincinnati and U.S. Navy Band Saxophone Symposium in Winchester, VA.
Genevieve graduated from Ohio State University with her Bachelor’s in Bassoon Performance, where she studied with Karrie Pierson, and from Michigan State University with her Master’s and Doctorate in Bassoon Performance, where she studied with Michael Kroth.
