Sarah Pool

Sarah Pool · oboe

Sarah Pool was a member of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra from 1997-2007. After attending the Interlochen Arts Academy, Ms. Pool received a Bachelor of Music and a Performers Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Richard Killmer. She then pursued a Master of Music, studying with Kathy Greenbank at the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the ASO, Ms. Pool was a member of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. She has participated in summer festivals in numerous locations, including Sarasota, Spoleto, and Banff. While a member of the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, she performed as a concerto soloist. In addition to touring Japan with the Eastman Wind Ensemble while a student, Ms. Pool also spent a summer participating in the Heidelberg Castle Festival in Germany. Ms. Pool is currently pursuing a Master's degree in elementary education at Grand Valley State University. This is Ms. Pool's second appearance with the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck.
