Andrew Le

Andrew Le · Piano

First-place winner of the 2004 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, Andrew Le is Head of Keyboard Studies and Assistant Professor of Piano at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Described as "individualistic without a trace of contrivance or eccentricity" by critic Harris Goldsmith of The New York Concert Review, Andrew Le is known for his exciting, engaging, and artistically sensitive performances both nationally and abroad. He is also a published photographer and violinist in the Holland Symphony Orchestra.

Andrew Le holds a Doctor of Music Arts degree from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Jerome Lowenthal. He is also a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Interlochen Arts Academy. Andrew was a prizewinner in the 1997 Gina Bachauer Young Artists International Piano Competition and the 1993 MTNA-Baldwin Competition.

Andrew Le performs frequently with his wife, violinist Jennifer Walvoord. Together, they are the Artistic Directors of the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck. Andrew Le is also the founder of the Brown Bag Series at the Holland Area Arts Council, an informal concert series designed to encourage and foster the accessibility of classical music to the public.
